What is SnowCode ? - Open coding and "attendee planned unconference" sessions, held at a ski resort, covering various Node and Javascript topics. Exact topics and session topics are selected by all attendees during the first evening planning session ala un-conference and open-space-coding style of intense "fun/learning" conferencing. Based on previous snowcode events and trending user group topics, we expect topics to be similar to Node.Js libraries ,Reactive extensions, underscore.js, Oauth / OpenId, CoffeeScript, backbone.js, Knockout + many more Jquery and javascript libraries and frameworks, Node and Javascript MVC libraries,Express,Mongo DB with Node, Javascript test driven development libraries, plus plenty more...

One of the best Ski and Snowboard schools europe is right next door, and we have arranged an excellent deal for Snowcode attendees who want to learn to ski or snowboard during SnowCode!
SnowCode is a unique developer conference with six jam packed exhilarating days and nights of hardcore snowboarding & hands on coding sessions with excellent attendees, so expect much, much more! Because the sessions are attendee selected and run, and session sizes are small (between 3 and 5 people) you work on code and skills you can take home with you and immediately put into practice!

No fixed speakers or agenda, following unconference and opencoding principles. Final list of sessions will be selected by attendees on the first night, however discussions online on twitter (#snowcode) about possible sessions are encouraged and will help you ensure your laptop is all setup ready for action, either for learning or sharing with others.

Places will be very limited (max 16 people for this year's snowcode) so get ready to place your booking!
This is a completely 100% free conference: The money you pay goes directly to Rude Chalets, and covers Accommodation, Food and airport transfers. (excludes flights!)
(Collage of photographs below, as well as photographs above are from previous SnowCode events)

The Venue: Chalet Joseph, Rude Chalets

Chalet Joseph is located right in the centre of Morzine very close to the tourist information office and a large selection of après ski bars and restaurants. It is only 100m from the Super Morzine lift (which gives direct access to the high altitude ski area of Avoriaz) and 300m from the Pleney lift (which gives direct access to the Morzine-Les Gets ski area).

I'm flying on the first flight out. Plan to get on slopes on Sunday if possible if I'm not asleep.
Hi Vaughan, Cathy and I are flying back to the uk today and will checkout the Stagnated flights tomorrow.we will be catching a taxi from cambridge to Stansted..done they a few times and have a brilliant guy we always use.Am on plane now in Port Elizabeth, SA ...recently toasted/sun tanned ;-D
Hi Daniel, Michael, Cathy and I are flying from Stansted, 7:30am flight, landing 10:20am, so hoping to be able to get in some boarding on the first day ;-D We're catching a taxi, space for 2 more to join us. If you want, you can come up to Cambridge the Friday night, sleep over our place. The taxi has trailer and picks us up door to door.
Partners are welcome to join us at SnowCode. Checkout the photographs from previous snowcode events to see that while it's intense coding, there's a good mix of social, apre-ski, coding and snow ;-D
w00t! Dylan is joining Snowcode and will be "co-ordinating the unconference to facilitating everyone getting as much Javascript goodness as they can handle" (end quote) he he ;-D
Stansted works for me - I'l probably take a taxi from home. Which flights are you guys on?
flight departs 7:30, with easyjet. How far r u from Cambridge station? we're catching taxi from our place, space for 2 more still. Why dont u and Dylan come up Saturday night and we go out for drinks b4hand like last time?
I'm in North London- it's easy to get a taxi from here to Stansted.
So flight out is Stansted -> Geneva, EZY at 7:30 am, return is Sun 25th at ?
Michael, can you remember if the fooseball table at Chalet Joseph has a proper solid ball? There's a table in a pub in Les Gets that has a soft ball that I remember and the game is not fun without the "thunk" of a solid ball! (has to make a noise)
Never been in josef Alan, just the other two chapelle and Christophe I think, they have hot tubs :)
Great to see the places filling up. For any London based people I am getting the 7am flight from LHR and then returning on the 12pm flight to City.
Anybody joining have a GoPro camera they will be bringing?
No gopro but will be bringing my contour hd cam which is similar. Not sure if I want to use it as my last vid clip saw me wipe out a 5 year old and then the resultant snowboarder/angry mother dialogue was recorded for posterity :s
Hi Ben, I'm bringing with the GoPro that Icodeon sponsored us with for a prev snowcode It's specifically for attendees to play with ;-P Quite indestructable, surviving @serialseb's dropping it off a chair lift! (Seb also wanted 2 test it's "waterproofness" in the hot tub! hmm) We have the helmet mount as well as a snowboard mount. Icodeon are sponsoring Snowcode again this year...will be announcing the sponsorship info shortly... Icodeon rocks! (sweeet!)
Flight booked! Wonder if it's worth buying any kit, like my own board boots, or a contourHD with the GPS - could use it for cycling too ;)
Hi Alan, I was looking at flights. I was going to try to take the same one out as you guys but which one are you coming back on?
I'm coming back on the 20:55 flight, so I can get an extra day on slope. Will be leaving car at stanstead so can offer a lift back to cambs if required.
Sunday to Sunday this time, puzzled me at first as it was Sat->Sat last time.
I'm coming back on the 17:50 on 25 March, Easyjet from Geneva to Stansted
