Cambridge F# User Group Dinner - Part 3 ( Chapter 3 and beyond)

Tudor Rose (map)

Selected By: Alan Hemmings

Relaxing end to another hard week with good Beer, laptops, friends, and coffee , 6:30 till whenever ...
This is F# Chapter 3 and beyond.

Feedback from previous sessions is that a) we're off topic and b) too short.

So, I've booked a table at Tudor Rose from 6:30pm till late, so there's no rush to pack up and go, hopefully that will deal with b). As for a) perhaps with more time, we could break into pairs and do a mini coding Dojo / flex our F# muscles with some F# challenges.

I don't want to invite guest speakers to join us until we've covered more ground, so it's quite possible that the evening could simply end up being sharing good food, wine, coffee with some friends, then that's also good. If anyone has any suggestions for the evening, then feel to contact me, I'll set you up as an admin (event organiser) on the camdug meetup and you can edit the event description / suggest topics.

cheers all,

Alan

    Hi Alan,
    excellent !!!!

I'm sure will have fun :)

I can bring with me my projector and try to use it during the coding session if it's possible. We can code something related to the first three chapters in the most pure as possible functional style. I think that this is the most important and the new part to learn for a typical OOP developer.

    See you soon,

    Andrea
