Come join us the Cambridge .NET developers on Thursday evening for our monthly meetup and for some good company, beer and geek talk at the Tram Depot in Cambridge.
First round of drinks are free. For those of you who may be hungry and the Tram Depot serve's it's famouse Steak and Ale pie for not much more than sixpence.
CAMDUG is a social pub meetup once a month where .NET developers working in and around Cambridge can meet and network with other developers, share business opportunities and make friends who share similar interests.
weather was brilliant and the Tram Depot was a relaxing quiet place to sit in the sun and drink some good beer and eat some obligitory user group pizzas. Good discussion around agile, or semi-agile (grin) / lean development.
We chatted a lot about what coding days / "hands on" events we could host in Cambridge, with the emphasis on sharing (user contrib) not speaker driven and how there's a place for each.
Great news: I attended #openspacecode with Alan Dean on the weekend immediately following our user group meeting, and he's volunteered to help us host an openspacecode (or similar) event in Cambridge. This follows on nicely from the discussion we had on Thursday.
I attended and really enjoyed myself. We talked about some great topics and I managed to spout off about my favourite topic - Agile Development. We also talked about snowboarding - another passion of mine at the moment. Alan has some interesting plans to bring the two together...
Hey - someone took some photos of us munching on Pizza - where are they?
