CAMDUG end of week Drinks meetup every Friday, at CB2 Bistro.
we used to be mostly alt.net people, but are now a mix of Java, Iphone, .NET and php, Ruby, Flash as well as a small but growing group of functional language programmers currently experimenting with F# ;-p
Good Beer, top nosh and geek talk. Social pub meetup every week where you can come along and meet and chat to other .NET professionals about any topic you want. Some of the recent discussions have been around Rake.net, BDD, TDD, Selenium, nHibernate, EntityFramework, nosql ( CouchDB, MongoDB), Yahoo Query language plus plenty more.
Often the topic is not even tech related. if it's been a hard week, its good just to meetup with some friends who can relate. Once friendships are formed, we arrange various coding and hack days where we can get down, close and personal (hands on pair programming with a mate) with the latest interesting open source project, or development "best practice".
There's always really great Pizza and chips and beer to go around.
